Mercyhurst University is taking you back to the 1800s at 1960s prices.

The college’s Classic Film Series will screen “How the West Was Won” today at 2 p.m. in Taylor Little Theater.

The cinematic classic from 1962 follows the travels and adventures of members of a family from 1839 to 1889.

If you want to see the film on a big screen today, you only have to pay what it would have cost you 40 years ago. Ticket prices will be as they were in 1962 – 70 cents, according to Mercyhurst’s website.
